Tim Wise is a prominent anti-racist activist, writer and speaker and author of two books released in 2005: White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son (Soft Skull Press) and Affirmative Action: Racial Preference in Black and White (Routledge). TNS reporter Jessica Hoffman spoke with Wise in late July about issues of race surrounding Hurricane Katrina, the immigrant-rights movement, and day-to-day news coverage.
