Aug. 27, 2004 – A teacher in Bellingham, MA is suing school officials for censoring his current events class. High school social studies teacher Brian Newark contends that school administrators infringed on his rights by taking his current events class away after parents complained about an optional assignment that included looking at pictures from the Abu Ghraib prison scandal.
