World News Colombian conflict spills across Venezuela border

A 4-year-old girl was killed in a shootout between members of Colombia's two biggest insurgent groups in a border town in Venezuela's southwestern plains region. High school students held a demonstration in February in BolĂ­var Plaza in another Venezuelan town near the Colombian border, to protest the recruitment of young people there by irregular forces from Colombia. Observers say there is evidence of a permanent Colombian guerilla presence inside Venezuela.
