Chris Shumway
Chris is an associate editor for The NewStandard. He works as an instructor in the Department of Communication at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to teaching classes in video production and working for The NewStandard, Chris is a local media activist. He has given numerous talks on media ownership and the effects of corporatization and commercialism on local journalism.
In 2003, Chris co-authored the book "Digital Dilemmas: Ethical Issues for Online Media Professionals" (Blackwell/Iowa State Press). He has an M.A. in Media Studies from the New School University.
